High in anti-inflammatory agents and fatty acids, this wild-harvested Zimbabwean oil works to soften and plump your skin. It is super lightweight in nature, which helps the oil absorb easily, perfect for drier skin.

After a resource assessment is performed to evaluate the wild population size and the potential total yield of the resource, a sustainable and thoughtful harvesting plan is implemented. Harvesters, from local communities, are trained to harvest using sustainable and legal practices.
By selling their yields to oil producers these community members can sustain and grow themselves and their communities for the future.
The species population is then constantly monitored to ensure areas are not over-harvested or taken advantage of. Not only is sustainable wild-harvesting possible, it is integral to long-term conservation of our indigenous cultures and the protection of our beautiful land and nature we call home.

The communities in South Africa where the production of Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is harvested and produced have been experiencing severe drought due to climate change.
Kalahari Melon Seed Oil has emerged as a means of providing jobs and a more stable economy using the drought-resilient melons.
Our oil is fair-trade and sustainably grown to ensure that the local resources can support communities from which they come for generations.
The producers of the oil use all by-products of the melon to feed livestock and fertilize new crops; a closed loop system.
Packaging
Our beautiful Mirage Face Oil is packaged in a refillable, cork and wax-sealed pink glass bottle lightly infused with 18k gold, hand-blown by an artisan in South Africa.
Our unique handcrafted bottles are an art piece intended to stay with you for life. Once the contents are finished, customers can send back their bottle to be refilled. Customers are encouraged to send their bottles back in the original packaging to ensure safe travelling.
